Rather expected game in Wollongong where 12th ranked Crusaders (5-16) were crushed by tenth ranked Hawks (11-10) 100-72 on Saturday. Hawks shot 62.9 percent from the field. Hawks outrebounded Crusaders 39-26 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Crusaders' players. The best player for the winners was guard William Hickey (194-1999) who had a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists. Swingman Noah Pagotto (191-2005) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Five Hawks players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Luke Cassidy (-2000) who recorded 16 points and 5 steals and Hammish Loader (-1999) added 9 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hawks moved-up to ninth place. Loser Crusaders keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Hawks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Crusaders will play against Panthers (#15) in Penrith and hope to secure a win.
