There was no surprise when 11th ranked Knox Raiders (9-12) lost to leader Lady Braves (21-0) in Wantirna South 94-98 on Sunday. Lady Braves made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Meg Mccarthy nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Amy Atwell (183-1998, college: Hawaii) accounted for 26 points and 8 rebounds. Aneta Bandilovska came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Kiera Rowe (183-1999) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Knox Raiders in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the twenty first consecutive win for Lady Braves. They maintain first place with 21-0 record. Knox Raiders lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
