There was no surprise when 5th ranked Warriors (7-13) were outplayed at home by top-ranked Devils (20-0) 90-70 on Saturday. Devils forced 29 Warriors turnovers. American guard Amanda Paschal (170-1996, college: Kentucky) fired 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Holly Dolny chipped in 15 points. Paschal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Devils players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Haille Nickerson (170, college: Memorial) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Samantha Romanowski (175-1996, college: Denver) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Devils have an impressive 20-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-0 record. Warriors lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Lakeside L. and Sunbury J.. Devils will meet Cougars (#4) in the next round. Warriors will play against the league's second-placed Boomers in Bulleen and hope to secure a win.
