The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedUnited (8-2) in Melbourne on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Perth Wildcats (4-5) 102-95 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of United. 30 personal fouls committed by United helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Bryce Cotton (182-1992, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized South Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-1994, college: Baylor) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Matthew Dellavedova (193-1990, college: SMC) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Perth Wildcats moved-up to sixth place. United at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost.
