Rather expected game in Auckland where 9th rankedAdelaide 36ers (4-9) were defeated by seventh ranked New Zealand Breakers (4-8) 96-83 on Thursday. Strangely Adelaide outrebounded NZL Breakers 40-27 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-1995, college: Arizona) who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import forward Anthony Lamb (198-1998, college: Vermont) chipped in 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-North Macedonian center Jacob Wiley (203-1994, college: EWU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-1997, college: Miami, FL) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four NZL Breakers and five Adelaide players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory NZL Breakers went down to eighth position due to points difference. Loser Adelaide 36ers keeps the ninth place with nine games lost.
