Very important is a road loss of third rankedPerth Wildcats (8-6) against tenth ranked Hawks (4-8) on Friday night. Visiting Perth Wildcats were defeated by Hawks in Gwynneville 100-82 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Perth Wildcats. Illawarra dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Perth Wildcats 's 36. Worth to mention a great performance of American Gary Clark (198-1994, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Samson Froling (212-2000, college: Creighton) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. American Jordan Usher (201-1998, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 17 points and the former international power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Perth. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Illawarra moved-up to eighth place. Perth at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Sydney and SE Melbourne.
