No shocking result in a game in Findon where seventh rankedCairns Taipans (6-8) defeated bottom-ranked Adelaide 36ers (4-10) 116-101 on Saturday. Cairns made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Cairns outrebounded Adelaide 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Cairns shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Adelaide 's players. American guard Tahjere McCall (193-1994, college: Tennessee St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Patrick Miller (185-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists during the contest. Cairns Taipans' coach Adam Forde used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
