Not a big story in a game in Melbourne where 11th rankedVikings (1-7) were outplayed by third ranked Cougars (5-3) 115-85 on Saturday. McKinnon dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Vikings 's 36. Mongolian forward Steve Wooten Jr (198-1998, college: Bethesda) scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Shaquille Maharaj (196-1997, college: Camosun) chipped in 22 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Cougars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Anthony Kimble (196-1987, college: GSU) with 31 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard James Legan (190-1987, college: ECU) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Vikings' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory McKinnon went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Vikings keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost.
