An interesting game forCougars (9-3) which played road game in Floreat against one of their biggest challengers Hawks (7-4). Third ranked Cougars had an easy win 88-73 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hawks. Cockburn C. forced 20 Perry Lakes H. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of New Zealand-Israeli forward Danielle Raber (183-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds and guard Stephanie Gorman (183-2000, college: San Diego) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Ashleigh Isenbarger (188-1997) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and guard Mia Satie (178-1998, college: Pepperdine) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cockburn C. maintains third position with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader Keilor T., which they share with Mt Gambier. Perry Lakes H. at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost.
