There was no surprise in Seaford where 13th rankedRingwood Hawks (6-9) were defeated by eighth ranked Frankston Blues (7-5) 88-70 on Saturday. Frankston B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Stokley Chaffee (204-1996, college: Tennessee St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Klay Brown (193-1999, college: Academy of Art) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Guard Jonathan Lawton (188-1996, college: FSC, agency: IceBasket) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and center Braelen Bridges (210-1999, college: Georgia) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Frankston B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with East Perth E. Ringwood lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bendigo.
