Not a big story in a game when 15th rankedDiamond Valley Eagles (4-11) lost to fourth ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (11-5) in Greensborough 70-85 on Sunday. Mt Gambier dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Diamond Valley Eagles 's 26 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Mt Gambier looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Haliegh Reinoehl (188-1998, college: Akron) notched 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Zitina Aokuso (194-1998) supported her with 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). Four Mount Gambier Pioneers players scored in double figures. Even 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Abbey Ellis (168, college: Purdue) did not help to save the game for Diamond VE . Guard Carly Turner (183-1995, college: SMC) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mt Gambier maintains fourth position with 11-5 record. Diamond VE lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams.
