Regular Season Round 11: Keysborough - Western PS 90-84

Not a big story in a game in Keysborough where 12th rankedSteelers (2-13) were defeated by second ranked Cougars (11-4) 90-84 . However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Keysborough made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Nick Carlson (193-2000, college: St.Scholastica, agency: Warren Sports International) who led the winners and scored 48 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Anthony Williams (178-1995, college: Clark Atlanta) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Worth to mention Carlson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. American center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (197-1989, college: MSU Denver) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Western PS in the defeat. Four Western PS players scored in double figures. Steelers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cougars have a solid series of three victories in a row. Keysborough maintains second place with 11-4 record behind leader Collingwood. Western PS lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost.
