Regular Season Round 11: Bulleen B. - Sherbrooke S. 59-66

The game between third ranked Boomers (10-4) and seventh ranked Suns (7-7) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Boomers were defeated by Suns in a tough game in Bulleen 59-66. Sherbrooke S. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Sherbrooke S. outrebounded Bulleen 51-39 including 20 on the offensive glass. Sherbrooke S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Tenaya Sooalo who had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. New Zealand forward Alicia Carline (190-1993, college: Portland St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Guard Amy Baum (170, college: USF) produced 9 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists and guard Keli Romas (170, college: Newberry) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Sherbrooke S. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sunbury J. and Pakenham W. Bulleen at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Sherbrooke S. is looking forward to face league's second-placed Bellarine on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bulleen will play against Hume City B. and is hoping to win this game.
