Regular Season Round 12: Bulleen B. - Hume City B. 77-75

Eighth-ranked Hume City Broncos (3-12) were very close to win a game against third ranked Boomers (11-5) in Bulleen on Sunday. Boomers managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by guard Keli Romas (170, college: Newberry) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists and Tahlia Leeson supported her with 13 points. Four Boomers players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds by American forward Megan Ormiston (190, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Hume City B.. Tegan Hindle added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Bulleen maintains third position with 11-5 record having four points less than leader Wyndham D. Loser Hume City Broncos keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with McKinnon C.. Bulleen will meet at home Pakenham W. (#5) in the next round. Hume City B. will play against the league's second-placed Bellarine and hope to secure a win.
