Bottom-rankedSteelers managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses. This time they won against fifth-ranked Storm in Bellarine 101-86 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that Steelers is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Western PS dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Storm 's 34. Western PS outrebounded Bellarine 51-35 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Russell Permenter (203-1988, college: Providence) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. Naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (197-1989, college: MSU Denver) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Steelers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kavione Green (195, college: Bloomfield) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Nick Velasquez (190-1994, college: Union, TN) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bellarine. Four Western PS and five Bellarine players scored in double figures. Western PS (3-13) moved-up to eleventh place. Bellarine lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
