We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tullamarine where one of their biggest challengersHume City Broncos (14-8) were defeated by fifth ranked Gators (13-8) 84-76 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American Devin Thomas (203-1996, college: Indiana St., agency: One Motive Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Canadian swingman Jayden Coke (199, college: Academy of Art) chipped in 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was New Zealand Zach Mckenzie (-2002) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Scott Stone (193-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Hume City players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gators have an impressive five-game winning streak. Shepparton maintains fifth position with 13-8 record. Loser Hume City Broncos keeps the fourth place with eight games lost.
