Regular Season Round 1: NZL Breakers - Brisbane 91-87

Breakers used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Brisbane 91-87 on Saturday night. NZL Breakers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bullets's 34. American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-1995, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists for the winners. New Zealand forward Sam Mennenga (206-2001, college: Davidson) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Keandre Cook (194-1997, college: Missouri St.) produced 25 points and New Zealand center Tyrell Harrison (214-1999) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Breakers will meet at home SE Melbourne in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bullets will play against Illawarra in Gwynneville and hope to win that game.
