Regular Season Round 3: Perth - Melbourne 68-97

Date: October 4, 2024
The game in Perth supposed to be also quite interesting. United (3-2) played at the court of Wildcats (1-3). United smashed Wildcats 97-68 on Friday. Melbourne looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for New Zealand guard Shea Ili (184-1992) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. American guard Ian Clark (190-1991, college: Belmont) accounted for 25 points for the winning side. Five United players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Perth in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. United will meet at home Adelaide (#6) in the next round. Wildcats will play against Cairns and hope to win that game.
