Very important is a road loss of third rankedAdelaide 36ers (5-4) against fifth ranked Breakers (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Adelaide 36ers were crushed by Breakers in Auckland 109-82 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adelaide 36ers. NZL Breakers shot 60.6 percent from the field and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Adelaide 39-21 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. NZL Breakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when NZL Breakers made 8 blocks. American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-1995, college: Arizona) fired 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Mexican swingman Karim Lopez (202-2007) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Breakers' coach Petteri Koponen felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Montrezl Harrell (203-1994, college: Louisville) produced 25 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kendric Davis (183-1999, college: Memphis) added 18 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Five NZL Breakers and four Adelaide players scored in double figures. NZL Breakers moved-up to fourth place. Loser Adelaide 36ers dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.
