Australia claimed Gold medals in Paita. They overpowered New Zealand for the trophy. Australia dominated from start to finish. They recorded a massive 45:28 halftime lead. Australia went on a 22:11 run in the third period to boost their lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Joshua Giddey (200-G-02) delivered 25 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 assists for the champions. Biwali Bayles (188-G-02) and Tamuri Wigness (184-G-02) added 12 points each for Australia. Mac Stodard (204-F/C-02) replied with 15 points for New Zealand.
3-4 Place
Tahiti - Samoa 59-87
Samoa knocked down Tahiti to clinch Bronze medals in Paita. Samoa dominated throughout the entire game. They recorded a 32:25 halftime lead. Samoa went on a 30:13 run in the third term to clear off for good. Tyrone Hettig (180-PG-02) produced 20 points, while CJ Iane added 19 points and 15 rebounds in the victory. Maui Roopina (183-G-02) replied with 31 points for Tahiti.
