The defending champion Canterbury Rams (NBL) have re-signed Taylor Britt, a 27-year-old international guard who stands at 187cm tall. Britt, who played for Southeast CC in college, played for the Rams last season. In 19 games in New Zealand, he averaged 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. His contributions helped the team secure the league title.
He also represented New Zealand at the FIBA World Cup in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia last year. Britt's team won Bronze, and his stats at that event were as follows: 4 games played with an average of 0.5 points per game.
He has also played professionally in Australia for the Perth Wildcats.
In 2020, he received the Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand NBL Honorable Mention award.
He graduated from Southeast Community College in 2017, and this upcoming season will mark his eighth in professional basketball.
