Newly promoted Whai Tauranga (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American 206cm forward Vance Jackson (college: ECU) for season 2024. Jackson played recently at South Bay Lakers (NBA G League) in the U.S. He also played for Stars in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 6 NBA G League games he recorded just 2.2ppg and 2.2rpg last season.
Jackson is a very experienced player. Thanks to Jackson's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in four different countries. He has played previously professionally in Dominican Republic (Soles and CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago), Qatar (Al Arabi), Taiwan and The Basketball Tournament (The Enchantment).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in SEC in 2021. Jackson was voted to AAC All-Rookie Team back in 2017.
He graduated from East Carolina University in 2022 and it is his second season in pro basketball. Jackson played for other colleges like: The University of Arkansas, University of New Mexico, University of Connecticut.
