William Hickey's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Australian Guard William Hickey (194-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Auckland Tuatara, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old player recorded a triple-double of 31 points adding also 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team edged out Nuggets (#8, 3-3) 97-94. Tuatara maintains the 7th position in New Zealand NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tuatara will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Hickey had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tuatara and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. William Hickey averages just after two games 30.0ppg, 11.0rpg and 10.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Tuatara's star - young international power forward Robert Loe (211-F/C-1991). Loe had a very good evening with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Auckland Tuatara to edge slightly lower-ranked Nuggets (#8, 3-3) 97-94. Tuatara's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Loe is one of the most experienced players at Tuatara and similarly like William Hickey has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Tae Hardy (190-G-1998) of league's second-best Franklin Bulls. Hardy got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for six assists. He was a key player of Bulls, leading his team to a 103-94 win against #1 ranked Rams in a game of the week. Bulls needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Hardy has a great season in New Zealand. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.4ppg (7th best) and assists with 6.3apg (4th best).
