Best players of New Zealand NBL round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

American CJ Penha (202-F-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Canterbury Rams and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 24-year old forward had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds for Rams in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tuatara (#7, 5-5) with 53-point margin 131-78. It allowed Rams to jump to the first place in the New Zealand NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Rams has a very solid 7-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Penha had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He just recently signed at Rams, being already a very valuable addition to the team. CJ Penha averages this season 17.5ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Jack Andrew (208-C/F-2001) of Taranaki Airs. Andrew impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Airs to edge the lower-ranked Whai (#9, 5-5) by 5 points 95-90. Airs' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Andrew is one of the most experienced players at Airs and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Josiah Allick (203-F-2001) of Southland Sharks (#8). Allick showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sharks, leading his team to a 97-76 easy win against the lower-ranked Giants (#11, 1-8). Sharks needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Allick has a great season in New Zealand. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 10.9rpg (2nd best).

10. Buay Tuach (198-G/F-1995) of Tuatara - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
