Miller-Jose number one in New Zealand NBL for round 13 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Isaac Miller-Jose (203-F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Manawatu Jets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Giants (#11, 1-9) 112-104. Jets maintains the 4th position in New Zealand NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Jets will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Miller-Jose had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Jets, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Isaac Miller-Jose averages this season 10.4ppg and 5.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jeremy Combs (201-F/C-1995) of Nelson Giants. Combs had a very good evening with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Giants lost that game 104-112 to the higher-ranked Jets (#4, 8-4). Giants is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Giants managed to get this year. Combs is one of the most experienced players at Giants and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Jackson Ball (191-G-2008) of Hawkes Bay Hawks (#5). Ball got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was a key player of Hawks, leading his team to a 88-87 win against the lower-ranked Whai (#9, 5-6). Hawks needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Ball has a great season in New Zealand. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (6th best).
