American Jeremy Combs (201-F/C-1995) had a great game in the last round for Nelson Giants and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 29-year old power forward had a double-double of 36 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Hawks (#6, 7-6) with 16-point margin 98-82. Giants is placed at 10th position in New Zealand NBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Giants have already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Combs had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Giants, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jeremy Combs averages this season 26.2ppg, 8.6rpg and 4.6apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Australian swingman Daniel Grida (195-G/F-1998) of Hawkes Bay Hawks. Grida impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hawks lost that game 82-98 to the lower-ranked Giants (#10, 3-9). Hawks managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Grida is one of the most experienced players at Hawks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.4ppg (#1). He also registered 8.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Charles Pride (193-G-1999) of Auckland Tuatara (#7). Pride got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Pride's great performance the Tuatara lost 92-96 to the higher-ranked Rams (#1, 9-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tuatara needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Pride has a very solid season. In 12 games in New Zealand he scored 14.3ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 55.0%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
