Davison's 36-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old Carlin Davison (197-SF-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for Taranaki Airs and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 36 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Airs in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Bulls (#4, 8-5) with 26-point margin 117-91. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Airs is placed at 3rd position in New Zealand league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Airs will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Davison had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Airs, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Carlin Davison averages this season 20.2ppg, 8.2rpg and 5.3apg.

Second best performed player last round was Daniel Grida (195-G/F-1998) of Hawkes Bay Hawks. He is Australian swingman in his first season at Hawks. In the last game Grida recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Hawks cruised to a 97-90 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Sharks (#8, 6-7). Hawks' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Grida is one of the most experienced players at Hawks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#1). He also registered 8.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Jeremy Combs (201-F/C-1995) of Nelson Giants (#10). Combs showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Giants, leading his team to a 91-80 win against the higher-ranked Bulls (#4, 8-5). Giants can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Combs has a very solid season. In 5 games in New Zealand he scored 26.2ppg.
