Josiah Allick, American center from the finalist team Southland Sharks, was honored as the Player of the Year at the National Basketball League. He graduated from the Nebraska last year. Allick received multiple other awards, earned the Import Player of the Year, Center of the Year, and was voted to the First Team and Imports Team. His best performance made his team reach the final but they lost against the Saints 83 to 88. Allick averaged 19 points per game in the league. He was the Player of the Week honoree in the league. Allick led the NBL in rebounds per game with over 11. He has totalled 11 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 14 games on the year. Allick's 29 points against the Jets were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Carlin Davison, 21-year old small forward from the Taranaki Airs, picked up the Domestic Player of the Year of National Basketball League. He collected multiple other honors, was selected to the First Team and Domestic Players Team. Davison was previously named to Award 2024 Honorable Mention last year selection. He received Player of the Week award twice during the 25 campaign. Davison registered almost 19 points and 8 rebounds per game that season in the league. He has totalled 8 games of 20 or more points on the year and had 30 or more points in 2 games. Davison recorded double-doubles in 6 games at the event. His 36 points against the Saints were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Davison's team won the New Zealand League Regular Season in 2022. The standout Australian swingman Nick Marshall was named the Guard of the Year of the championship-winning champion team Wellington Saints. He Is the Clarke alumni from 2021. Marshall received multiple other awards, was chosen to the First Team and Imports Team. With Marshall's excellent performance, the champion team Wellington Saints achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 16 to 4 in the regular season. His excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Sharks 88 to 83 in the final. Marshall was voted Player of the Week in the league. He logged almost 20 points and 8 rebounds per game over the season in the league. Marshall has totalled 11 games of 20 or more points and registered double-doubles in 7 games on the year. His 35 points against the Sharks were the most he scored in the 2025 season. Jeremy Combs, 29-year old American power forward from the Nelson Giants, was voted the Forward of the Year at the National Basketball League. He Is ex Texas Southern from 2019. Combs collected multiple other honors, was named to the First Team and Imports Team. He averaged 7 rebounds per game in the league. Combs led the NBL in points per game with over 24. He has totalled 10 games of 20 or more points on the year and notched 30 or more points in 2 games. Combs recorded double-doubles in 3 games at the event. His 36 points against the Hawks were the most he scored in the 2025 season. As evident, the league is predominantly led by former college players, with 6 out of the 10 scorers having graduated from US schools. Combs' team won the Australian NBL1 Regular Season in 2023. Sean Macdonald, 25-year old Australian guard from the runner-up team Canterbury Rams, earned a spot in the First Team of National Basketball League. He was also voted to the Imports Team. Macdonald showcased his talent by ranking fifth in points per game with an average of almost 22. He also registered almost 6 assists per game that season in the league. Macdonald has totalled 8 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in 3 games on the year. His 31 points against the Tuatara were the most he scored in the 2025 season. As evident, the league is predominantly led by former college players, with 6 out of the 10 scorers having graduated from US schools. Among many awards he was selected to the Australiabasket All-Australian NBL Most Improved Player of the Year in 2024.
