Defending champion Wellington Saints (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American 203cm forward Reggie Upshaw Jr. (college: MTSU). Upshaw played most recently at SYNTAINICS MBC Weissenfels in German BBL league. In 20 games he recorded 12.6ppg, 7.3rpg (#3 in the league), 1.4apg and 1.4spg last season. He also played for Budivelnyk in Ukrainian Superleague where in 22 games he averaged 6.5ppg and 4.3rpg. Upshaw helped them to make it to the Supercup final.
He is a very experienced player. Upshaw has played also professionally in Israel (Hapoel Tel Aviv and Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Italy (Reggio Emilia) and Spain (Andorra).
He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
He replaces 6'10" forward Walker Miller (208-F, college: Monmouth) on the roster.
