Whai - Tokomanawa Q. 85-68 Very important is a road loss of third ranked Queens (5-5) against fourth ranked Whai (5-5) on Thursday night. Visiting Queens were defeated by Whai in 85-68. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Whai players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Queens' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Austrian forward Sarah Sagerer (189-1996, college: Stetson) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard McKenna Dale (183-1999, college: Virginia) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Hoiho looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Ashten Prechtel (196-2001, college: Stanford) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) helped adding 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Hoiho players scored in double figures. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hoiho. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kahu made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American forward Iimari Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) fired 29 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Penina Davidson (190-1995, college: California) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds.
