Aaliyah Wilson (ex Whai) is a newcomer at M.Ashdod

Maccabi Bnot Ashdod (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American guard Aaliyah Wilson (180cm-1998, college: Texas A&M) for season 2023-24. Wilson joins another USA player Tia Presley who is already in the roster.
She played this summer at Whai in New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa. She managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 12 New Zealand games just recently she recorded 12.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.1apg and 1.8spg. The last season she played at Basket Namur Capitale in Belgian Top Division Women where in 14 games she was league's third best scorer with impressive 17.1ppg and had 5.8rpg, 2.4apg and 2.2spg (in top 3). She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Wilson also played 8 games in Eurocup where she averaged remarkable 16.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 3.1apg, 1.1spg and 1.0bpg.
Two years ago she was drafted by Seattle Storm (WNBA) in first round (11th overall).
The former Texas A&M University star is in her third season in pro basketball. She played also for The University of Arkansas for one year.
