Casademont Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) signed 28-year-old Irish-New Zealand power forward Finn Delany (200cm-107kg-1995, college: SW Baptist). He started the season at NZL Breakers in the Australian NBL league, where in 19 games he had 8.8ppg and 3.5rpg. Last season, he played at Telekom Baskets (BBL) in the German league, where he recorded 8.5ppg, 3.8rpg, and 1.6apg in 38 games. Delany helped them win the regular season and make it to the final.
He represented Ireland at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. Delany's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 5 games: 16.4ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.2apg, FGP: 48.4%, 3PT: 44.4%, FT: 80.0%.
He is a very experienced player, having played in six different countries on three different continents - Europe, Australia, and North America. He has played professionally in Germany, Serbia (KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd), New Zealand (Giants), NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks), and The Basketball Tournament (GCG).
Among many awards, he was voted to Australiabasket.com Australian NBL All-Domestic Players Team in 2021.
