Lilly Taulelei transfers to Cyclones

Iowa State University added 19-year-old New Zealander power forward Lilly Taulelei (6'3'') to their roster for the 2024-25 season. She transferred from the University of Massachusetts, where she spent her freshman year. In 31 games in the USA, she recorded 6.7ppg, 2.5rpg, and 1.2apg last season. She was voted to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in 2024.
She played at Capital Swish Wellington in 2020-2021 and then at Tokomanawa Queens in 2022. Taulelei's team finished the regular season as the second-best team in New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa in 2022. UMass won the New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa Championship in 2022.
She was a member of the New Zealand Under 17 National Team 2 years ago.
She helped her team reach the New Zealand WBC Semifinals in 2020.
