Tokomanawa Q. lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Whai.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Kahu (7-5) against fourth ranked Queens (6-6) on Sunday night. Host Kahu was crushed by Queens in 95-76. American forward Jordan Horston (188-2001, college: Tennessee) notched 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Stella Beck supported her with 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for N. Kahu. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Whai. N. The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Whai (6-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Hoiho (3-9). Whai smashed Hoiho 94-53 on Saturday. Ashley Joens fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Aliyah Dunn produced 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side.
