Hapoel Kfar Saba lands Iimar'I Thomas

D1 newcomer Hapoel Kfar Saba tabbed 24-year old American 178cm swingman Iimar'I Thomas (college: UCLA). Thomas played this summer at N. Kahu in New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa. In 13 games just recently she averaged impressive 22.8ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3spg. She helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Thomas can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa Player of the Year and League Player of the Week. The last season she played at Torpan Pojat in Finnish Korisliiga where in 34 games she was the best scorer with remarkable 26.2ppg and recorded 6.8rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. She contributed to her team winning the Finnish League title. A very impressive season as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Finnish League Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and Import of the Year. she voted toUsbasket.com All-WPBA Player of the Year in 2024.
Thomas graduated from University of California at Los Angeles in 2022 and it will be her third season in pro basketball. She played also for University of Cincinnati for 4 years.
