Nelson Giants (NBL) landed 30-year old American 206cm forward Brice Johnson (college: UNC, agency: DBA Reed) for upcoming season. Johnson played recently at Toyama Grouses in Japanese B1 League and played for Al Seeb in Oman during the 2023 Arab Club Basketball Championship.
In 2016 he was drafted by Los Angeles Clippers (NBA) in first round (25th overall). Johnson graduated from University of North Carolina and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Johnson has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Chorale de Roanne), Italy (Orlandina), Oman, Puerto Rico (Indios), Ukraine (Budivelnyk), NBA (LA Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (SLC Stars, Grand Rapids Gold, Memphis Hustle and San Diego Clippers). Johnson played in the final of ACC Tournament in 2013 and 2015. He voted toGatorade South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Year back in 2011 and 2012.
