Nelson Giants (NBL) landed 24-year old American 196cm guard Jaylen Forbes. Forbes graduated last year from Tulane (NCAA). He has played there for the last four years.
Forbes started his college career at The University of Alabama (NCAA). Then he moved to Tulane University (NCAA).
He was one of the highest ranked players in high school in 2019. Forbes' high school career he had spent at Florence in Florence, MS.
Forbes represented USA at the World University Games in Chengdu (China) two years ago. Forbes' team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 15.7ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 55.0%, 3PT: 37.0%, FT: 80.8%.
So his pro career will start in New Zealand. His team made it to the AAC Tournament Semifinals in 2022 and 2023.
