JL Bourg en Bresse (Betclic ELITE ProA) inked 29-year old New Zealander ex-international 193cm guard Tai Webster (college: Nebraska). He started the season at Perth Wildcats in Australian NBL league. In 20 games he averaged 7.7ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.5apg.
He was also a member of the New Zealand international program for some years. Webster played for New Zealand Senior National Team between 2012 and 2019 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2012.
He also represented New Zealand at the World Cup in China six years ago. During this event he scored an average of 13.4 points per game and had 3.8 rebounds per game.
Webster is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Webster has played previously professionally in Germany (Skyliners), Lithuania (Zalgiris), New Zealand (Nuggets), Turkey (Galatasaray and Petkimspor) and NBA (Miami Heat).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Australian NBL in 2024. He was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention back in 2021.
He graduated from University of Nebraska in 2017 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
