Manawatu Jets (NBL) tabbed 25-year old American 201cm forward Eric Williams Jr. (college: San Diego) for new season. Williams played recently at Manchester Basketball in British SLB league. In 6 games he averaged 6.7ppg and 3.2rpg last season. He also played for APOEL Nicosia in Cypriot OPAP BL where in four SLB games he had very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.5apg and 2.5spg.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. Williams is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Poland (Polonia), Dominican Republic (Reales), NBA G League (Memphis Hustle) and The Basketball Tournament (Takeover).
Among many awards his college team won Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in 2023. Williams was selected to Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team back in 2018. He played for other colleges like: University of Oregon, University of Duquesne.
