Mackenzie Chatfield commits to Cougars

Washington State University agreed terms with 20-year old New Zealander guard Mackenzie Chatfield (5'9''). Auckland native played for the last two years at Western Kentucky University. In 31 games Last season she had 5.8ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg last season. She helped her team make it to the C-USA Tournament Semifinals in 2025.
She played also at North Harbour Breeze between 2021-22 and then at Northern Kahu during 2022. Her team won New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa Regular Season Championship in 2022. Chatfield helped her team make it to the New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa Finals that year.
She represented New Zealand at the FIBA U18 Women's Asian Championship in India three years ago. During this event she scored an average of 7.8 points per game and had 5.4 rebounds per game.
