Tauranga Whai (NBL) added to their roster 24-year old New Zealander ex-international power forward Anzac Rissetto (208cm-120kg-2001, college: Charlotte). Rissetto moved there from Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in German ProA. In 27 games he recorded 8.4ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.0apg last season. The last summer he played at Raiders in Australian NBL One where in 26 games he averaged 10.3ppg and 5.4rpg. He helped them to win the Australian NBL1 National title despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
Rissetto was a member of New Zealand international program for some years. He was called to New Zealand Senior National Team in 2022 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2018.
Rissetto has played previously professionally in New Zealand (Airs and Bulls) and Australia (Phoenix).
He attended University of North Carolina at Charlotte until 2021 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.
