Mojave King

Tauranga Whai (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old American-New Zealand swingman Mojave King (196cm-88kg-2002). King moved there from Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rican BSN league where he started the season. In 7 games just recently he recorded 8.3ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg. The last season he played at Breakers in Australian NBL. In 17 BSN games he averaged 8.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.0apg.
Two years ago he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) as #47 pick overall.
He is quite experienced player. King has played also professionally in NBA (Indiana Pacers), Australia (Adelaide 36ers, Taipans, Capitals, Excellence and Qld South), New Zealand (Sharks), NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants and G League Ignite) and NBA Summer League (Indiana Pacers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand NBL Newcomer of the Year back in 2022.
