Rose number one in New Zealand NBL for round 24

American Guard Quinton Rose (203-G-1998) had a great game in the last round for Manawatu Jets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 27-year old player tried to help (40 points, four rebounds and three assists) his team in a lost game to Whai (#8, 10-11) 93-103. Jets maintains the 5th position in New Zealand NBL. Jets is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 10th lost game this season out of 21 games. In the team's last game Rose had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Jets, through which he has constantly improved. Quinton Rose averages this season 21.3ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Mojave King (196-G/F-2002) of Tauranga Whai. King had a very good evening with 43 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Tauranga lost that game 88-98 to the higher-ranked Sharks (#3, 12-8). Whai is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-11 record. King is one of the most experienced players at Whai and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Izayah Le'afa (188-G-1996) of league's top team Wellington Saints. Le'afa got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He was a key player of Saints, leading his team to a 90-84 win against #2 ranked Rams in a game of the week. Saints confirms their top position in the standings. Le'afa has a great season in New Zealand. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.8apg (7th best).
