Tauranga outrebounded Airs 44-30 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American swingman Mojave King (196-2002) who helped to win the game recording 31 points. The former international power forward Anzac Rissetto (208-2001, college: Charlotte) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Carlin Davison (197-2003) answered with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and American Armon Fletcher (196-1995, college: SIU) added 16 points in the effort for Airs.

Sharks - Tuatara 91-75

Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tuatara's 32. They outrebounded Tuatara 44-30 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Caleb Asberry (191-2000, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 assists and 4 steals (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Josiah Allick (203-2001, college: Nebraska) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. American guard Luther Muhammad (191-1999, college: Arizona St.) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Thomas Vodanovich (201-1994, college: JMU) added 22 points in the effort for Tuatara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
