The biggest surprise took place in where host Whai (7-5) beat league's leader Hoiho (7-5) 93-84 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hoiho. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Australian forward Hannah Hank (188-2001, college: Clemson) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Guard Emme Shearer (183-2002, college: Portland) chipped in 21 points and 4 steals. Australian center Jessie Edwards (193-1995, college: Minnesota) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Mainland P. and S. Hoiho.

Worth to mention a great performance of Australian point guard Kristy Wallace (180-1996, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Penina Davidson contributed with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Australian guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) replied with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for N.
