Canterbury Rams (NBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 29-year-old American forward Todd Withers (202cm-98kg-1996, college: Queens, NC). He recently played at H.Holon in the Israeli Winner League. In 12 games, he recorded 3.8ppg and 2.3rpg last season. Withers also played 7 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he averaged 6.3ppg and 2.0rpg. Last season, he played at Wildcats in the Australian league.
Withers is a highly experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he has played on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America) in ten different countries. He has played professionally in Australia (Adelaide 36ers and Senators), Israel, Italy (Fortitudo Flat Service Bologna), Turkey (Darussafaka Lassa), NBA (Detroit Pistons), Lithuania (Rytas), New Zealand (Nuggets), NBA G League (Texas Legends and Grand Rapids Gold), NBA Summer League (Detroit Pistons), and The Basketball Tournament (D2 Waymakers).
Among many awards, he played in the final of Australian NBL1 West in 2025. Withers was also voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL1 West Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
He graduated from Queens University in 2018 and is currently in his eighth season as a professional player.
