Defending champion Wellington Saints (NBL) signed 24-year-old American 193cm guard Elijah Pepper (college: UC Davis). He joins fellow USA player Donte Ingram on the roster. Pepper most recently played for Perth Wildcats in the Australian NBL league, averaging 10.5ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.1spg in 37 games last season, helping the team reach the semifinals. During the previous summer season, he played for another Australian team, Senators.
He represented the USA at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers last year. During the event, he scored an average of 21 points per game and had 5 rebounds per game.
Pepper received the All-Big West Player of the Year award during his college time in 2024.
He graduated from the University of California - Davis in 2024 and is currently in his second season in professional basketball.
