Shane Gatling (ex ZTE KK) agreed terms with Giants

Nelson Giants (NBL) signed 28-year-old American 188cm guard Shane Gatling (college: Colorado). He came from Zalakeramia ZTE KK in Hungarian A Division. In 15 games, he averaged 10.6ppg, 1.6rpg, and 3.0apg last season. He also competed for BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod (VTB United League) in the Russian league.
Gatling is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Bosnia (Promo), Germany (Bayreuth), Russia, Slovakia (Komarno), North Macedonia (Gostivar), The Basketball Tournament (Team Colorado), and PBA (NY Generals).
In 2023, Gatling played in the final of the Slovakian League. In 2024, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-German ProA Honorable Mention.
It is worth mentioning that he also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him secure a job in professional basketball.
Gatling graduated from the University of Colorado in 2020 and is currently in his sixth season in pro basketball. He has also played for Indian Hills Community College and Niagara University.
