Very predictable result when second rankedPerth Lynx (4-1) defeated at home bottom-ranked Sydney Flames (1-4) 84-78 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Perth dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sydney Flames 's 32. Perth forced 20 Sydney turnovers. Strangely Sydney outrebounded Perth 48-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Canadian forward Laeticia Amihere (191-2001, college: S.Carolina) fired 28 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Alex Wilson (175-1994) chipped in 19 points. The former international center Cayla George (193-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Mikaela Ruef (191-1990, college: Stanford) added 10 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Lynx have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Bendigo. Sydney lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. They share the position with Adelaide.
