Regular Season Round 21: Sydney - Perth 97-104

Date: February 2, 2025
The biggest surprise of round 21 was guest Perth's (#3) road victory over Sydney (#4) 104-97 on Sunday evening. Wildcats made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Bryce Cotton (182-1992, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 30 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Wildcats' coach John Rillie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cameron Oliver (203-1996, college: Nevada) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Alex Toohey (201-2004, college: Gonzaga) added 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively. Five Wildcats and four Kings players scored in double figures. Perth maintains third place with 17-11 record behind leader Illawarra. Sydney at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. They share it with SE Melbourne. Perth are looking forward to face Adelaide (#6) in Findon in the next round. Sydney will play on the road against the league's leader Illawarra in Gwynneville and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
